David turned when he heard angry stomps coming through the station. He had to hold back an grin at the adorable, angry look on the child’s face. He put his hands on his hips and put on his best serious face, “Someone stole your rabbit? Well, that’s just not acceptable!” David put a hand on her shoulder, “I promise, I will do everything I can to help you find it. Why don’t you make a poster first with a picture and its name and we can put them around town and ask if anyone has seem him?”

Grace looked expectantly up at David, her eyes still narrowed – she wasn’t angry with him…just angry in general. “Right?” She breathed, her surprised tone matching his, “Somebody stoled it! He was in his cage and, and, and, when, when I went home he wasn’t there!” She moved to sit at the desk, “I can make a poster! Do you got paper? He’s black and white and he’s got a real pink lil’ nose and I named him Oreo ‘cause he looks like a Oreo! O…r…eoh!” Eh. You tried. “What if,” She started, sitting up right, “What if someone took him on purpose?”

At the sound of her sweet laugh, he was in a fit of the giggles and he gave her little head soft kisses when she turned to him, his little girl was his whole world and he loved her sweet laugh. “Oh? whats this?…” He took the drawing and admired her work, smiling that proud smile of a father. “Oh that’s very good! that’s going to get framed that’s for sure!” He gave a laugh and kissed her head again. “Did you have a good day at school??”.

“We can, we can put it, we can put it in the big room downstairs where, where we sit sometimes after dinner!” Grace watched her father react to the picture, her smile only growing larger at his excitement. She made him happy! You did it, Grace! He’s happy! Papa’s happy! She nodded eagerly when he asked about her day at school, “Mhm! I had a real good day! Henry and I, Henry and I colored and then, then papa, he walked me home!” Grace blushed a little bit, her smile only growing bigger, “What did you do today, Papa?”

storybrooke-weareboth sent: Do you think that it's harder to be a child in Storybrooke than it is to be an adult? Why/Why not?

It is harder ta’be a kid ‘cause since I’m a kid I have to go to school and can’t do the fun things that the grown ups get to do. Also - there are more grown ups than kids so, so it gets real boring ‘cause Henry can’t always play!

Missing Bunny | Grace & David

Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Oreo is missing! The child was knelt at her rabbit’s cage, her eyes wide and full of tears - there was no bunny in this cage! Her rabbit was missing! Or…or…it was stolen… The first emotion Grace felt was anger - someone took her bunny! She’d get to the bottom of this! She’d just go to the police. Yep. Sounds like a plan. With huff, she stood up, grabbing her coat before making her way out the door and down to the sheriff’s office.

It took her a lil’ bit, but once she was there, she stomped her way in, her face twisted into a pout, “‘scuse me,” She spoke up, Henry’s grandfather coming into view, “Henry’s gram’pa, I need your help. Real bad. This is an ‘mergency.” She paused for affect, “Somebody stoled my rabbit.”

mad-hatter-jefferson:

He stayed deathly quiet hearing her run about downstairs, he loved playing games with his little girl, hide and seek being the most fun of all, peeks out as she looks about the room, never once looking behind the chest,as she flopped down on the floor sulking he crawled out from behind the chest and sneaked up behind her and grabbed her in a hug. “Haha losing your touch my dear!” places sweet kisses on her tiny cheeks and holding her tightly. “Now tell me little one.. what is it you have for me hmm?!”.

Grace let out a loud shriek when she felt her father engulf her in a tight hug. “Papa!” She laughed - it was a hearty laugh…a happy laugh. “You scared me!” She continued to laugh - truly just happy to have her father here. She adored him to pieces so whenever he was around, she was beaming. She shifted in his lap so that she was facing him before holding out the picture she had drawn at school. “It’s a picture of, of, of our family, Papa! It’s our family!” She nuzzled herself into his chest, admiring her work of art.

“Papa!” | Grace & Jefferson

mad-hatter-jefferson:

Jefferson had spent all day in his workshop, as Alice was out exploring the surrounding forest, He knew Grace was making his own way home, He was lost in his own thoughts when he heard the door swing open, he glanced towards the door and gave a sweet smirk, the kind of smile a proud father gives and he stood with a grin and went to hide with a mischievous chuckle. “I’m upstairs my little bunny!! ” He hid behind a chest and became rather silent as he heard the patter of her little feet.

“Papa! Upstairs is so far away! You’re so far away! But, but don’t go anywhere a’cause I’m comin’!” She bounded down the hallway, her bare feet slapping against the wood of the floor. “Papa, I made you somethin’!” She ran into his workshop, her head falling to the side, “Papa? I can’t give your surprise to you unless I know where you are!” She ducked under the desk and checked behind all of the chairs before sulking back into the middle of the room, “Where aaaare you?”

“Papa!” | Grace & Jefferson

“Papa!” Grace opened the door, stepping into the house, her eyes wide, a large smile on her face, “I made’ya somethin’! Where are you?” She had just gotten through with saying goodbye to Henry who offered to walk her home from school. There was an obviously ‘crush’ there but if anyone brought it up, Grace pouted. Kicking off her shoes by the door, the child took off running, trying desperately to find the man she loved most.
